TCRPv Architects design all the Planet Fitness Gyms nationwide and were therefore the Interior Designers and Project Managers of choice for the fit-out of their new Sandton Head Office. The project having to be designed, detailed, and constructed within the exceptionally tight timeline of 7 weeks. To add to the complexity of the project, the leased premises is an accredited 4-Star (Best Practice) building meaning that every decision on the interior space had to embody similar principles in terms of its sustainability and performance.

The brief from the client was to embody their various gym brands, namely; Planet Fitness Signature, Planet Fitness and Just Gym all in one office space. These are clearly distinguishable in the client facing areas wherein the reception desk is modelled after their typical gym concierge desk and each meeting room has been “themed” in accordance to the brand colours. Quirky elements such as road marking (typically used in their cycling studios) in the boardroom as well as famous quotes from sportsman throughout the space add to the ‘fun’ in the space reminding us that work and life is all about balance.
